Asuransi Jasindo Consortium ready for Indonesian Workers (TKI)

President Director of PT. Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Persero) Edi Subekti said the
Consortium of the Indonesian Workers (TKI) Protection insurance led by Jasindo
is ready to be audited. The audit to be conducted by the Department of Manpower
and Transmigration is expected to bring results, from which we can see which
Indonesian workers insurance consortium, is the best.
"An audit is indeed a must, and for this purpose we have been giving our best
services which can be noted in the auditing", said Edi, in the presence of Dewi
Poedjiastuti, head of Public Relations Bureaus, in his office on Monday, 26th
February.
Since 7th August 2006, every Indonesia worker has been obligated to buy an
insurance policy provided by Jasindo Consortium, and to pay Rp. 400,000 for one
policy. The policy will give each worker an insurance protection worth Rp.
40,000,000 in the event of death, assaults, tortures, or harassment that occurs
to the worker. The lowest coverage for a worker who is not employed yet is Rp.
2,000,000.
