JASINDO Ready to Assist Ceriyati
Kuala Lumpur (Antara News) - Jasindo representative in Malaysia, Khairudin
Harahap said that Jasindo is prepared to help Ceriyati, a domestic helper from
Brebes, with her accommodation and health while she is in Malaysia. Jasindo
will put her up in a hotel until her case is settled if she doesn’t feel like
staying at the consulate, Khairudin said so while seeing Ceriyati at the
Indonesian Consulate in Kuala Lumpur on Monday.
He said. This case is bigger than that of Nirmala Bonat since Ceriyati has
indeed taken such a big risk of descending from 15th floor by a rope made from
linen. We’d been trying to locate her since Sunday by looking in police
headquarters and hospitals to offer her assistance with both medical and shelter
at our expense as a token of concern. This is an entirely new move that Jasindo
has never done before, indicating a notable improvement in Jasindo’s service in
assisting Indonesian overseas workers or domestic helpers who have been abused
in Malaysia.
